Thank You Card

I needed to make some thank you cards to give as a gift so I used a set from Our Craft Lounge called Life is Sweet. This sundae reminded me of when I was little and my mom and I used to go to a local ice cream shop. This was many years ago and it was one of those old fashioned ice cream shops you never see anymore. I used to like to order a hot fudge sundae and it had vanilla ice cream, hot fudge poured on it, chopped nuts, whipped cream and a cherry on top!

The card layout is from Debby Hughes' blog post here. I liked the use of white card stock over a white card base.

The Thanks stamp is from Lawn Fawn, but is a free stamp I received in one of my orders.

Wedding Card

I seem to have trouble with wedding cards. Not sure why. I think maybe I try to put too much on them. So you hardly see me post anything that looks like a wedding card. After I posted this card with Dave's Orchard Tree Frame Die, I thought the die would make a nice wedding card with the right color scheme. Something soft looking. I noticed the light blue patterned paper that is in the Memory Box Aerial 6x6 paper pack and thought this would make a perfect wedding card. It goes perfectly with Memory Box Water.

The above photo shows the inside of the card with the sentiment, Happy Wedding Day. That stamp is a real oldie! It is a PSX stamp. Anyone remember PSX?! They sadly went out of business some years ago. The die cut piece is Memory Box Delicate Vine.

Cool Chick Card

Isn't this litle chick too cute?! He's all ready for spring and summer with his shades on! The chick and flowers are from Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Spring Fling set. The sunglasses are from another Paper Smooches set called Sunny Side Up. I thought the chick needed something and when I looked at the Sunny Side Up set, I noticed the sunglasses. Perfect!! I applied some Ranger Glossy Accents to the glass part of the sunglasses.

The fence is a Taylored Expressions Picket Fence Border Die. I ran it through my Big Shot with Balsa Wood. I used Taylored Expressions Cloud Duo Die for the felt cloud you see at the top of the card.

I used Dave's Memory Box Modern Landscape Border Die for the top part of the patterned paper. I was inspired to use this border die from this blog post. I loved the use of other stamp companies stamps with the Modern Landscape Border Die. I would not have thought to use that more cutesy girl image with this die. So keep in mind to play around with your different stamp companies images and your dies to make more use of them.

The patterned paper is another piece from the Memory Box Sprout 6x6 paper pack. This pack is retired.

Spring Card

Isn't this bunny adorable?! This is one of the cutest rabbits I have seen in a long time. This image is from Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Spring Fling stamp set. The little ladybug and butterfly are from the same set.

I used another retired Memory Box patterned paper pack called Aerial. I can't remember when this one was released, but it's been awhile. I thought this particular pattern went well with the bunny and her carrot! I used one of Dave's new spring Memory Box dies called Orchard Tree Frame. It is so beautiful! I can see using this die for a sympathy card, maybe even a wedding card. In fact, there is a patterned piece out of this Aerial pack that would make a lovely background to the Orchard Tree Frame die.

Warm & Fuzzy Kitty Wishes

Another birthday card! I love Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Party Posse so much that I just had to make another birthday card with the cute cat in this set. I also used Kim's Vogue Abode set. I masked the cat and placed the chair from Vogue Abode under her.

Turtle Birthday Card

This turtle is just adorable! The image is from Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Party Posse set. Kim really came up with a clever saying to go with this fun turtle, Let's Shell-Ebrate. I cut out and molded the purple shell so that I could give it some dimension. I applied two small dimensional pop-ups on the back of the shell. For the turtle's "toenails", I applied some Ranger Glossy Accents so that it looks like she painted them!

I used the Memory Box Cupid Heart die to die cut the heart shape on the patterned piece of card stock. I again used a retired Memory Box patterned 6x6 paper pack called Sprout. Dave released this pack some years ago and it is one of my favorites.

Ice Cream Birthday

I needed to make a birthday card so today it's ice cream day! I used Taylored Expressions Build a Treat set that has mainly cupcakes in it, but it does have ice cream cones in two shapes, one of which you see here. The tops that Taylor had done can go on the cupcakes or the ice cream cones. I masked the ice cream tops to make a triple layer ice cream cone! Looks very yummy. I used My Mind's Eye Six by Six Dwell 6x6 paper pad that I bought last year.

Pooch & Kitty Heart Canopy Card

I have another Valentine card today. I used Dave's new Heart Canopy die that goes with the Twiggy Tree die. I used an old Memory Box paper pack of Dave's that he released some time ago. I am almost sure that it is retired. I had not used this pack much when it came out, but I thought of it immediately when I was trying to decide what card stock and patterned paper to use. It is called Grove. I used Cotton Candy for the card base and it goes perfectly with this patterned piece from the Grove paper pack.

I was going to leave the card as is, but had Dave's kids stamps sitting out. Emma and Cooper started Poppystamps in 2008. Dave draws the images for them. I thought the pooch and kitty stamps were so cute! They come in 2 sizes. I stamped them out on the patterned paper as you see and colored them in with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. Since these are the smaller images of the pooch and kitty, they fit just perfectly under the tree! I am making a few of these to have on hand to use for birthdays.

I used a Memory Box sentiment, Happy Valentine's Day, inside the card above.
